The Mysuru division of South Western Railway has appealed to commuters to use digital platforms such as the RailOne mobile app to book railway tickets and avail passenger-related services.

By using RailOne for unreserved ticket booking, commuters can avail an instant 3% discount from January 14 to July 14, apart from enjoying the convenience of quick, secure and paperless transactions.

In a press release here, the division advised commuters to actively use digital applications to book reserved and unreserved tickets, platform tickets, check train information and access other passenger amenities. Increased adoption of digital ticketing will help significantly reduce congestion at ticket counters, minimise last-minute rush, and avoid inconveniences arising out of long queues or counter-related issues, especially during peak travel periods, it said.

“By choosing digital modes of ticketing and services, passengers also become active participants in the Government of India’s flagship ‘Digital India’ programme, contributing towards a more efficient, transparent and passenger-friendly railway system,” the release said.
