Vijay Varma confessed that he's an art connoisseur today and here's the biggest proof of it. He was seen posing with this iconic piece of art and true cinema lovers know it. It's not just a piece of art but a masterpiece created by Anil Kapoor's character Majnu bhai in 'Welcome'. The quirky image of a donkey riding on a horse has lived rent-free in pop culture for years and Vijay made sure to pose with it. From the looks of it, this seems to be director Anees Bazmee's house or office where Vijay is posing. On Thursday, September 4, Vijay took to Instagram to share his excitement. In the post, he posed in front of the iconic painting, dressed casually in a grey T-shirt and jeans, flashing a wide smile. A video in the carousel captured a hilarious moment when someone off-camera quipped, “50,000 dollars,” making Vijay burst into laughter. The carousel also included close-up shots of him basking in the joy of sitting beside the painting, which bore the signature of Welcome director Anees Bazmee. In his caption, Vijay wrote, “Yes, I’m an Art Connoisseur. Sharing my moment with the most iconic painting from Bollywood.. no painting has ever brought this much joy to us @aneesbazmee sir @anilskapoor sir respect. Majnu Bhai supremacy.” He later added in the comments, “Aaj bahot log welcome dekhnge.. phir se (Many people will watch Welcome today… again).”Fans couldn’t get enough of the moment. One joked, “Majnu Bhai finally found his perfect audience.” Another wrote, “Majnu bhai understood modern art before Insta aesthetics existed.” A third person said, “Crossover we didn’t know but needed.” Arjun Kapoor also liked Vijay's post.
But Vijay posing in front of this painting, raises questions if this is actually Bazmee's house. If it is, then is Vijay collaborating for a movie with him? We hope the cat is out of the bag soon. On the work front, Vijay is now gearing up for 'Matka King', a web series that will explore Mumbai’s underworld of the 1960s. The actor also has the romantic drama 'Gustaakh Ishq', co-starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Sharib Hashmi, slated for a theatrical release in November 2025.
