At 40, an age where players often leave the professional setting and get into a laid-back character, LeBron James is as active on the court as any young player. His determination to share the court and the yellow and purple jersey with his son, Bronny, gave NBA the perfect Hollywood-style magic.
LeBron James and Bronny James spill the tea
In a recent "Spill the Tea" segment released by the Lakers, fans got a rare, unscripted look at the playful dynamic between the King and his prince.
Far from the high-stakes pressure of the Western Conference standings, the duo kept it light while answering some of the biggest questions posed to them by the Lakers. When asked who’s most likely to be able to change a tire? Bronny didn’t hesitate to take Austin Reeves' name, “Austin. I feel like he get like he's definitely been stranded on a country back road somewhere in Arkansas.” To which LeBron also agreed, saying, “Yeah, for sure.
Somewhere in Arkansas. I wouldn’t even have a spare tire in my car.”
Bronny was all in with LeBron James as the answer when asked, “Who's most likely to be first to dance at an event?” The back and forth showed a glimpse into their daily life as dad and son. The chemistry was palpable as they discussed who would most likely be a surfer. Bronny tipped his hat to his own snowboarding skills while also earning a nod from LeBron. The segment ended with LeBron and Bronny discussing who was most likely to gatekeep the best LA location.

Lebron James’s dazzling legacy too big for Bronny
LeBron James is currently in his 23rd season and is NBA’s all-time leading scorer, a four-time NBA champion, 4-time MVP, Team USA Olympic gold medalist, and much more. With an illustrious resume like this, comparisons were bound to happen when his son, Bronny, entered the league.
Dealing with his father’s heavyweight career, Bronny is also trying to carve his own path. At 6'2" with a high basketball IQ and a defensive-first mentality, Bronny is trying to prove that he isn’t just some nepo baby in a jersey, he’s much more than that.
While some critics argue over Bronny’s second-round draft status, the James family remains focused on the grind, supporting their eldest. As the Lakers look to climb the ranks of a crowded West, the father-son narrative adds a layer of human emotion to a league that is often strictly business. Whether they're dapping each other up in the tunnel or debating tire changes on camera, the James duo is proving that even in the NBA, family comes first. Also read: NBA legend LeBron James should be in the All-Star Game, Draymond Green urges Adam Silver
