'We'll Leave Mumbai By 9 Pm If Maharashtra Govt Issues GRs': Jarange On Maratha Quota Demands

Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil and his supporters claimed victory after the Maharashtra government accepted most of his demands, including giving out Kunbi caste certificates, on the fifth day of his indefinite hunger strike on Tuesday.

Jarange said he and his team will leave Mumbai by 9 pm if the government resolutions on the Maratha quota cabinet sub-committee are issued.

“We have won," Jarange told his supporters. “We will leave Mumbai by 9 pm today if the Maharashtra government issues GRs (government resolutions) on the Maratha quota demands." 

He made the announcement after his meeting with the cabinet sub-committee headed by minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, who met the activist in the afternoon with other members of the committee – Shivendrasinh Bhosale, Uday Samant, Manikrao Kokate – at Azad Maidan.
