Smriti Irani, the actress who won the hearts with ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ once opened up about her miscarriage while she was working on the set. The 49-year-old recalled how she was not aware of the pregnancy, even though she was feeling unwell at the moment.

In the throwback conversation with ‘The Slow Interview with Neelesh Misra,’ Irani recalled one of the haunting experiences of her life. The politician claimed that she had been working continuously, even after she had asked to complete her scenes early on the day. After completing the shoot of ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ Irani took an auto and left for her home. However, she had heavy bleeding on the route, while it was raining cats and dogs.

Reaching the hospital, she got admitted, where the nurse had asked her for an autograph.Dealing with the situation, her husband, Zubin, was out of the country, while her son was at home. She had to call for help and make arrangements to take care of her son. Meanwhile, the production team called her late at night, asking her to be on the set the next day. After detailing the situation, the team asked her to be on the set for a 2 pm shift.

As she had financial obligations, including a home loan, Irani reached the set. Turning up the next day, the actress witnessed that many spread rumors that the medical reasons were fabricated, questioning how she was on the set if she really suffered a miscarriage. Furthermore, Irani confronted Ekta Kapoor and offered to show the documents. While Kapoor hesitated at first, the actress claimed that she would have shown the foetus if it had survived.
