CLAT 2026 result: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) is expected to announce the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 around mid-December, with the tentative window falling between December 15 and December 17, 2205, based on previous years’ trends and various media reports.

However, the consortium has not yet released an official confirmation regarding the exact result date.CLAT 2026, the national-level entrance examination for admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 24 National Law Universities (NLUs), was conducted on December 7, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their results on the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in once released.This year, nearly 92,000 candidates registered for CLAT 2026 across UG and PG programmes. Of these, approximately 75,009 candidates appeared for the UG examination, while 17,335 candidates took the PG test.The CLAT 2026 result is expected to include key details such as the candidate’s name, parents’ names, roll number, application number, marks obtained, overall rank, and category-wise rank.Following the declaration of results, the Consortium of NLUs will commence the CLAT 2026 counselling process.

Candidates who qualify will be required to register separately for counselling to secure admission to various UG and PG law programmes offered by participating NLUs and affiliated colleges.

  • Enter the registered mobile number and password
  • Submit the login details
  • The CLAT 2026 result will appear on the screen
  • Download and save the scorecard for future reference

CLAT 2026 UG and PG exam pattern: Marking scheme and structure

Both UG and PG candidates answered 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

Undergraduate (UG) CLAT 2026

  • Total questions: 120
  • Sections included English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques
  • Marking: +1 for correct response; –0.25 for incorrect answer

Postgraduate (PG) CLAT 2026

  • Total questions: 120
  • Based on core law subjects: Constitution, Contracts, Jurisprudence, IPC, Torts, and more
  • Same marking scheme as UG
