Investigator Pablo Torre recently stated on Wednesday that Los Angeles Clippers player Kawhi Leonard allegedly received $28 million from a business that was financed by team owner Steve Ballmer.

It reportedly assisted the Clippers in avoiding the NBA pay cap.

One name which kept on popping is Uncle Dennis. Uncle Dennis is Kawhi Leonard’s uncle, Dennis Robertson. Since the loss of his father, Dennis Robertson, the brother of Leonard's mother, Kim Robertson, has been an important part of the six-time All-Star's life.

Uncle Dennis emerged as a controversial power broker in Kawhi Leonard’s Clippers saga

Dennis Robertson, popularly known as Uncle Dennis, was one important person mentioned multiple times throughout Torre's research.

Robertson has been referred to as Leonard's adviser in certain media. As per Pablo Torre’s report, a contract between Aspiration and KL2 Aspire LLC included Robertson's name. A section specifically discussing him informed that each and every "communication required or permitted under this Agreement" had to be forwarded to Robertson. Furthermore, the contract named Robertson as Kawhi Leonard's "designated representative."

The fact that Robertson's name appears on court records indicates that he was somewhat connected to the two businesses implicated in the alleged scandal. According to reports, Robertson was involved in the Aspiration controversy and was the focus of an NBA investigation in 2019.

Vincent Goodwill also discussed Uncle Dennis and dug into the Pablo Torre claim that connected Kawhi to the Clippers. He said:“Let's put all that to the side. But $28 million like it would pretty much circumvent the salary cap for this one company called Aspiration. It was being paid out to a LLC called KL2, which was run by Kawhi’s uncle, Dennis Robertson. This was not, it's important to note, uh, Dan and for everybody else, this is not part of Kawhi going to the Clippers in 2019 when he left the Toronto Raptors…”Additionally, as per Sam Amick of The Athletic, Dennis Robertson allegedly:“Asked team officials for part ownership of the team, a private plane that would be available at all times, a house, and last but certainly not least, a guaranteed amount of off-court endorsement money that they could expect if Leonard played for their team.”Robertson was reportedly the president of Protocol International's Elite Athlete Division and has over thirty years of professional expertise in finance and marketing.

Pablo Torre details how $28 million to Kawhi Leonard’s company raised salary cap questions

During his show "Pablo Torre Finds Out," Torre presented a comprehensive set of evidence that suggested such was the case. Throughout the 80-minute show, Torre describes how Aspiration gave $28 million to Leonard's company, KL2 Aspire LLC.

According to terms of the agreement between Aspiration and Leonard's business, Leonard would need to be a L.A.

Clippers players to be eligible for that money. Additionally, a former Aspiration employee who spoke with Torre, informed that Robertson contacted to demand payment. In the meantime, Ballmer, Kawhi, and the Clippers will have a lot of headaches if the accusations are accurate. The NBA might cancel Leonard's contract, penalise Ballmer, and deprive the franchise of multiple draft picks based on the 1999 Joe Smith-Timberwolves unwritten contract issue. Also read: Los Angeles Clippers’ salary cap controversy involving Kawhi Leonard mirrors Joe Smith penalties from Minnesota Timberwolves era
