US President Donald Trump briefly went off script during a White House Christmas reception on December 14, 2025, after spotting a woman in the audience whom he said looked like his daughter, Ivanka Trump. The moment came as Trump was addressing guests gathered for the festive event.

In the middle of his speech, Trump stopped and pointed towards the woman in the crowd. “Boy, do you look like Ivanka. Has anyone ever told you that?" he said, appearing momentarily distracted. Trump added that he was looking at her and wondering if it was his daughter.

He then asked the woman to turn around so cameras could capture her face. “Does she look like Ivanka? It’s the most unbelievable thing," Trump said, before adding that it was “a great compliment". The woman smiled and turned briefly as Trump continued to comment on the resemblance.
