Youth riding pillion on two-wheeler falls to his death in Coimbatore as stray dog tries to snatch chicken waste from him

COIMBATORE: A youth riding pillion on a two-wheeler died near Telungupalayam here on Saturday night after he fell on the road when a stray dog tried to snatch chicken waste he was holding in a bag.The incident happened at 11.30pm when A Akash Kumar, 22, from Ramanathapuram district and his roommate Mathan Kumar, 22, from Dindigul district were going to dispose of chicken waste after dinner. Both were staying in Telungupalayam and working in a private firm, police said. Mathan Kumar was riding the two-wheeler while Akash Kumar was riding pillion holding the garbage bag containing chicken waste.When they were passing through Rajiv Gandhi Nagar 2nd Street in near Telungupalayam, a stray dog tried to snatch the bag from Akash Kumar’s hand.

The dog jumped onto the two-wheeler, and the rider lost control. Both men fell the road.Akash Kumar sustained an injury on his nose and was taken to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital by residents. Doctors examined him and declared him brought dead.The traffic investigation wing (west) registered a case and started investigations.
