The YSRCP will fight against the State government demanding early completion of the medical College at Piduguralla in Palnadu district, said former MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy. in a statement on Monday, he alleged that the State government was neglecting the medical college in the district.

Alleging that the NDA government has been contemplating to give the medical college to the private management, Mr. Mahesh Reddy warned that the YSRCP will oppose the proposal and fight against the government. He said even if the State government hands over the college to private persons, the YSRCP will bring it back under the government control after returning to power in future. Mr. Mahesh Reddy hoped that the YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would form government after 2029 general elections in the State and revert the decision of privatising the medical college.

He alleged that the State government was also trying to change the name of the medical College, which was named after former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. He said that the medical college was sanctioned during the regime of YSRCP and construction was in progress before the last year’s general elections. There was no merit in changing the name, said Mr. Mahesh Reddy adding that the government should construct one more medical College in the district and name it after whomever they want.

Mr. Mahesh Reddy alleged that the TDP MLA Yarapatineni Srinivasa Rao was indulging corruption in the district and said that YSRCP would bring all his illegal activities into public domain.
