₹10.45 crore sanctioned for construction of roads in Ambalappuzha Assembly constituency

The State government has sanctioned ₹10.45 crore for the construction of 12 roads in the Ambalappuzha Assembly constituency. H. Salam, MLA, said here on Saturday that the project had received administrative and technical sanctions.

The roads to be built are Valanjavazhi beach road, Ottaveli-Parathara road and Nitha Fathima road in Ambalappuzha North grama panchayat; Vazhaparambhu road in Ambalappuzha South grama panchayat; Little Flower LP School road and Gabis Pump-Coastal road in Purakkad grama panchayat; S.M.J-East road and Mathurchira-Aattutheeram road in Punnapra South grama panchayat; Pathilpalam-Aattutheeram road, Kappakada-Hyundai road and Madrasa road in Punnapra North grama panchayat and R.S. Menon road in Alappuzha municipality.

While some of the roads will be constructed to BM and BC standards, others will be built using chipping carpet, interlocking pavers, and concrete. Mr. Salam said the tender procedures would be completed this month itself and construction would begin soon.
