Indore: Fifteen private schools in Khandwa district have come under the scanner for failing to disclose their fee structures on the state govt’s prescribed portal despite repeated instructions from the education department.The district administration has imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 each on the defaulting institutions, with Khandwa collector Rishav Gupta directing action against schools that did not comply within the stipulated deadline.District education officer (DEO) PS Solanki said the govt has made it mandatory for all private schools to upload their fee details online to ensure transparency and prevent arbitrary fee collection. But, 15 schools failed to furnish the required information.The department officials said that making fee information available online allows parents to compare fee structures of different schools before seeking admission for their children.
