2 Indian LPG carriers cross Strait of Hormuz, expected to reach ports by March 26-28

Two Indian LPG carriers, Pine Gas and Jag Vasant, carrying 92,612.59 metric tonnes of LPG, have successfully transited through the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. The vessels have 33 and 27 Indian seafarers on board respectively, totalling 60 crew members. Both vessels are destined for India and are expected to reach Indian ports between the 26th and 28th of March 2026. The transit through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime chokepoint, marks an important development for India's energy security and the safe return of the vessels with their cargo and crew.
