The three-day long ‘All India Coordinated Research Project’ annual group meeting on vegetable crops will be held at the College of Horticulture in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, from February 20-22.
Discussion will be held on various aspects of vegetable cultivation including results of field-tested open pollinated varieties and hybrid varieties already developed; details of best practices in seed production; collection, evaluation, conservation and use of germplasm in variety development; innovations in research on varieties that withstand biotic, abiotic stresses, pest and disease management, as per a press note. Over 300 scientists and experts conducting research on vegetable crops across the country will participate in this program.
Sri Konda Laxman Telangana Horticultural University’s Vice Chancellor, Raji Reddy, reviewed the arrangements required for the meeting. Registrar of the program A.
