Six women narrowly escaped a potentially disastrous situation after being swept away by a sudden gush of water at a waterfall in Bihar’s Gaya district. A video of the incident, captured on camera, has gone viral on social media, highlighting a stark reminder of the dangers near water bodies.

The 2-minute video shows six women stranded at the Languriya hill waterfall in Bihar’s Gaya district, fighting for survival as water gushed around them. Initially, one woman was saved by crossing a rock. Trying to do the same, three women attempted to cross a rock but were swept into the water. The rescues were dramatic, with the women mere meters from a potentially deadly drop. 

They were, however, pulled up by the villagers. In the meantime, the fifth woman was rescued from the other side of the waterfall. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers near water bodies and the importance of timely interventions.

The sixth woman was still stuck in the middle of the waterfall. Locals rescued her a few minutes later.

According to the officials, one of the women was injured after she collided with a rock during the rescue operations. She was treated at a hospital.

The eyewitnesses said that the weather was normal, due to which many people were enjoying the waterfall. Suddenly, water gushed from the hill, causing the tourists to leave the area immediately.

Locals described the water flow as unusually strong, stating it was the first time they’d seen the Languriya waterfall with such heavy currents.
