93.29% candidates qualify APPGECET-2026, rank cards released

As many as 9,320 candidates have qualified in Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (APPGECET)-2026, recording an overall pass rate of 93.29 %.

Out of 12,102 candidates who registered for the examination, 9,990 appeared for the test conducted by Andhra University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), from April 28 to 30, 2026.

The entrance test was conducted under the supervision of AU Vice-Chancellor and APPGECET-2026 Chairman Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar and Convener Prof. Pasumarathi Mallikarjuna Rao, in six sessions across 26 examination centres in the State.

Female candidates outperformed male candidates in the examination. Of the 5,526 female candidates who appeared, 5,176 qualified, registering a pass percentage of 93.67. Among male candidates, 4,144 out of 4,464 qualified, with a pass percentage of 92.83.

Kuppam recorded the highest pass rate of 96.30 among the districts, followed by Chittoor (95.8%) and Rajamahendravaram(94.77%). Visakhapatnam had the highest number of candidates appearing for the examination, with 1,545 students taking the test and 1,447 qualifying. Vijayawada recorded a pass percentage of 92.95, while Guntur registered 94.12 percent.

In the branch-wise analysis, Food Technology achieved a 100% pass rate, followed by Biotechnology (98.04%), Computer Science Engineering (97.7%), Chemical Engineering (96.92%) and Electrical Engineering (96.1%) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (85.65%). Instrumentation registered the lowest pass percentage of 79.55. Pharmacy, which had the highest number of registered candidates (4,041), recorded a pass rate of 91.91.

In a post on social media platform X, Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh congratulated the candidates on their success, informing that rank cards were available at https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/PGECET and WhatsApp (9552300009).
