Andhra Pradesh with its abundant youth talent is set to transform into a global hub of knowledge and innovation, said M. Surya Teja, Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Technological Services (APTS).

He was speaking at the inauguration of the national-level hackathon “Code Spark 2025”, hosted at KBN College, where over 1,000 delegates and 350 teams from States including Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh are participating.

Launching the hackathon, Mr. Teja emphasised that success requires strong planning and not merely waiting for opportunities but creating them. Highlighting the State’s commitment to start-ups and innovation, he said that the government aims to nurture entrepreneurs from 1.3 crore families from across the State.

Encouraging students to aspire beyond jobs, he said, “The goal should be to become job-givers rather than job-seekers.” He also announced that the A.P. Innovation Society would soon host another hackathon, where winning teams could receive direct start-up investments up to ₹1 crore without tendering.

He urged the students to visit the start-up hub at Rushikonda and stressed that initiatives like Ratan Tata Innovation Hub are enabling young entrepreneurs to grow with full government support. A.P. Innovation Society Joint Director Sridhar advised students to convert their ideas into real solutions for societal challenges by building start-ups.

KBN College Principal Dr. G. Krishnaveni said the institution’s I-Hub would support students with outstanding coding skills to establish start-ups. Secretary Dr. T. Srinivasu added that the college is committed to preparing students as 21st-century professionals through advanced technical initiatives.
