A major infiltration attempt was foiled along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Tuesday, according to initial inputs.
Indian Army personnel opened fire after observing suspected movement close to the LoC. Sources told News18 that the movement was suspected to be an attempt by a group of terrorists to infiltrate from across the border.
While the infiltration bid is believed to have been successfully foiled, official confirmation is still awaited at the time of filing this report. Further details are expected as the situation develops.
