Barhi woman injured during chain-snatching bid

Hazaribag: A woman was seriously injured in a chain snatching incident in Barhi police station area on Friday morning when two bike-borne miscreants allegedly snatched a rolled gold chain, mistaking it for a real gold ornament, and fled.The injured woman was identified as Urmila Devi, a resident of Barhi. Around 6:16 am, she stepped out to buy milk when two unidentified men on a blue motorcycle, approached her and tried to snatch the chain.She fell on the road, suffering serious injuries. She was taken to Barhi sub-divisional hospital and referred to Hazaribag.OC Binod Kumar said police are probing the matter by using CCTV footage.
