Bengaluru man, injured by tree branch fall, dies; BBMP officials booked

Sharath Shivaram, a 29-year-old who sustained critical injuries after a tree branch fell on him on Sunday, succumbed on Thursday.

Following the death, the Hanumanth Nagar police have registered an FIR against BBMP forest cell officials, charging them with death due to negligence.

Sharath Shivaram, HR with a private firm, was returning home on a scooter on Sunday, when the branch of a tree crashed on him on Bramha Chaitanya Road.

He sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a private hospital, where he slipped into coma.
