The Rajarajeshwarinagar police have caught three juveniles in conflict with the law for allegedly assaulting a youth, robbing him of cash, and stealing his two-wheeler.
According to the police, the complainant, a resident of Kenchenahalli under the limits of Rajarajeshwarinagar Police Station, lodged a complaint on May 15. In the complaint, he stated that on the same night, his son was near Ideal Homes when four unidentified persons on a two-wheeler intercepted him, assaulted him, and robbed ₹200 cash along with his two-wheeler.
The police said the accused later sent a message through Instagram informing the victim that the stolen vehicle had been abandoned near Jayanna Circle. Based on the complaint, a robbery case was registered at Rajarajeshwarinagar Police Station.
During the investigation, the police pursued multiple leads and gathered credible information through informants. On May 20, 2026, three suspects were apprehended near Village City Kalyana Mantapa within the station limits along with a two-wheeler. During interrogation, the trio allegedly confessed to committing the offence along with another associate. The police later confirmed that all three were juveniles in conflict with the law.
The police seized a two-wheeler allegedly used in the crime, a mobile phone, and ₹100 cash from the juveniles.
Further investigation revealed that the seized vehicle was linked to a two-wheeler theft case registered at Kaggalipura Police Station, leading to the detection of that case as well. The accused were also in the habit of creating fake profiles on Instagram and harassing female account holders, said the police.
The police said the juveniles would be counselled appropriately and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. Efforts are under way to trace the fourth accused.
