The State government has tied up with IRCTC to run Bharat Gaurav tourist trains. IRCTC and Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowment will run special train service for residents of the State.

The Kashi Darshan trains will run from Yesvantpur and SMVT Bengaluru to Varanasi. The nine-day tour will start on October 5. It will cover Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Tulsi Mandir and Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir, Ayodhya, Gaya, Bodh Gaya and Prayagraj.

The fare is ₹22,500 per head. However, the State government will provide a subsidy of ₹7,500 for passengers domiciled in Karnataka.

Boarding points include Yesvantpur/SMVT Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Birur, Davangere, Haveri, Hubballi and Belagavi.

The train journey is in AC III tier coach. All accommodation is in non-air-conditioned rooms on twin/triple sharing basis at places of stay. Also provided are wash and change in non-AC rooms as per tour itinerary and all Meals will be vegetarian.

All transfers and sightseeing are by non-AC buses. Tour escorts will be provided on per coach basis and travel insurance for passengers is included. IRCTC Train Manager will accompany the passengers and security will be provided.
