Patna: The Project Clearance Committee (PCC) of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (Biada) on Tuesday approved land allotment to 13 industrial units during its meeting chaired by industries department secretary and Biada managing director Kundan Kumar. The committee allocated a total of 11.52 acres of industrial land and sheds across multiple locations in the state, including established industrial areas in Patna, Begusarai, Purnea, Darbhanga, Aurangabad, Buxar, Vaishali, and others. The 13 approved units represent a diverse range of sectors—textiles and leather, food processing, pharmaceuticals, plastics, compressed biogas (CBG), and general manufacturing—sectors that are expected to strengthen Bihar’s industrial ecosystem and contribute to balanced regional growth.Together, the allottees proposed a cumulative investment of Rs139.5 crore. Once operational, the projects are projected to create approximately 1,010 direct employment opportunities. The MD said Biada has consistently worked to make the land allotment process more investor friendly, ensuring policy-driven transparency and provision of infrastructure suited to modern industrial requirements. “The latest round of approvals is seen as a concrete step towards accelerating industrial expansion, improving the investment climate, and generating large-scale job creation across the state,” Kumar said.
