In an attempt to ease out the struggle girl students of Koyyapeta village in Visakhapatnam district are facing to commute to their schools and colleges, Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisation on Sunday distributed bicycles to them. According to the organisation, the beneficiaries had been travelling several kilometres on foot every day to reach Chinnapuram Junction, from where they board buses or autorickshaws to their educational institutions.
The issue was brought to the notice of the organisation by Gurunatha Rao, Bal Vikas Guru and Convener of the Reddypalli Bhajan Mandali. Acting on the request, the organisation arranged bicycles for the students.
The initiative was aimed at supporting education and reducing the burden of daily travel on rural students, the representatives of the organisation said.
