A blood grouping and haemoglobin level camp was held at Cluster University’s Silver Jubilee Government College girl’s hostel on Sunday (December 07, 2025).

The camp was held by Red Ribbon Club Coordinator of the college Dr G. Ella Krishna in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Kurnool district branch. Launching the camp, the Silver Jubilee Government College Principal and Cluster University Registrar Dr. G. Srinivas stressed on the need for every individual to know their blood group and their haemoglobin levels. Knowing haemoglobin levels will be useful for an individual if they are anaemic, he said, adding that anaemia has become a common problem in women and children.

Dr. Krishna said that they have organised the programme to know the blood group of the students of the college who are staying far away from their parents and this would be helpful in medical care in case of any emergency. He thanked the Indian Red Cross Society, Kurnool district branch, for its support.

Indian Red Cross Society, Kurnool district branch coordinator K. Ramesh Babu and his nine-member team performed tests and blood grouping and haemoglonin tests on a total of 250 students of the hostel.
