BMW M2 CS lands in India as the most powerful M2 yet

New Delhi: BMW has come with its BMW M2 CS is the sole seconds CS-badged model. M2 CS is a limited-run production model and allocation has been done in India by very few units. It is also much lighter and more powerful than the regular M2, and it even receives some suspension improvement and chassis changes to make it more appropriate to use on the track.

CS model weighs 30kg less which is as a result of the new carbon-fibre boot lid and carbon-fibre roof as well as carbon-fibre interior and exterior mirror caps trimmings.

It receives the M-specific suspension setting on the springs, dampers and the chassis control systems. This CS model comes with the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. It now receives the re-organized internals and firmer engine mounts and it also yields 530hp and 650Nm as opposed to the standard M2.

The specifications have been the same as the bigger M4 Competition. Only has an 8-speed automatic gearbox and no manual on rear-wheel drive model as in the regular M2. The 6-speed manual that comes with the regular M2 is not designed to accommodate the increased level of torque of this engine.

Grille has been reworked a bit in this version, and allows the engine to breathe easier, as well as receives current front splitter. The wheels were staggered before the 19-inch and 20-inch front and rear forged alloy wheels in gold.

The gigantic built in ducktail spoiler, which is expected to enhance stability at the high speed. The rear diffuser is also blown-out and the newest quad exhaust tips are completed in matte black in the car. The most significant improvement is the carbon-fibre bucket seats that are covered with leather upholstery in signature M colours.

The seats are actually tight, heavily figured and have electric adjustment and heating non-ventilation option. It also receives the plenty of carbon-fibre trims on the centre console, dashboard and door pads. Newest M-spec steering wheel, in Alcanta, and innovative comforts such as 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and parking assistant.
