The operation was conducted around 11 am on Sept 6, Dr Srivastava said. The clinic has a provisional certificate of registration for one year under the Clinical Establishment Act for providing Ayurvedic medicine, the civil surgeon said.“It’s a crime against humanity where an unsuspecting patient was so operated upon in a health facility entitled to provide only Ayurvedic medicine,” Dr Srivastava added.Officials said there was no clue as to the identity of the surgeon who conducted the C-section.SDPO (Lesliganj) Manoj Kumar Jha said, “The clinic has been sealed in the presence of a magistrate on Saturday night after rescuing the woman. She was the lone patient in the clinic.”
