Coast Guard, Gujarat ATS seize drugs worth crores; detain 2 Pakistani nationals

In a joint operation, the Indian Coast Guard and the Gujarat ATS seized drugs worth crores and detained two Pakistani nationals near Porbandar along the international maritime boundary, according to sources.

More than 200 kg of narcotics have been recovered so far, with the exact quantity and value likely to rise as the investigation continues. The operation was carried out at sea after intelligence inputs about drug smuggling activity in the region.

Sources said that the authorities are questioning the two detainees and examining the consignment to determine its origin, intended destination, and possible links to international trafficking networks. Further details are awaited as the probe progresses.
