The highly anticipated Common Service Centre in Mithapur, Patna, with a budget of Rs 30 crore, is on the verge of completion. Spanning 26,000 sq ft, this Smart City initiative is set to be a game-changer for locals and students alike, offering an array of services from banking to retail and dining in a vibrant, accessible community space.
Patna: The construction work of the state-of-the-art Common Service Centre (CSC) being built at Mithapur in Patna is on the verge of completion. Being built at a cost of Rs 30 crore, the project is estimated to be completed by the end of February.Spread over 26,000 square feet, the CSC will provide a one-stop solution for students as well as city residents, offering facilities ranging from banking services to beauty parlours and salons. The innovative design will create a vibrant community space for young minds to connect and flourish. The project is being executed under the Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL).According to a PSCL official, “The construction project of the G+3 building is complete.
Initially, the proposal was for a G+2 building, but an additional floor was added to the project. Currently, the painting and electrification of the building are going on and it will be finished it before Holi.”The structure will feature a post office, municipal corporation office, banks, ATMs and a public courtyard on the ground floor. The first floor will feature convenience stores, stationery shops, salons and beauty parlours.
A unique addition to the second floor will be ‘didi ki rasoi’, alongside a kitchen and store facility, complemented by an appealing open-air café. Each floor is designed with gender-specific restroom facilities, ensuring comfort and convenience for all visitors.There will be a 25 metre-wide and 200 metre-long PQC (pavement quality concrete) road on the route from Mithapur metro station to the T-junction, with modern storm drainage, a utility duct and street lighting.
There will be a 10 metre-wide and 190 metre-long PQC road for local connectivity and smooth movement and a 15.3 metre-wide PQC road in front of the Chanakya National Law University and Chandragupt Institute of Management.The centre’s thoughtful design incorporates state-of-the-art drainage systems connected to the nearby Mithapur STP (sewage treatment plant), effectively addressing potential waterlogging concerns.“This development marks a significant step towards creating a smart educational ecosystem in Patna. The CSC will not only fulfil the immediate needs of the students but also contribute to the area’s overall development as a premier educational hub,” the PSCL official added.
