Amid speculation over a possible leadership change in the Congress government in Karnataka, ruling party MLCs on Tuesday met Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala in New Delhi and sought an early clarification on the issue of leadership. The MLCs, including Madhu Madegowda, T.D. Srinivas, Chandrashekhar Patil, Basanagouda Badarli and Puttanna, met Mr Surjewala and appealed to him to convey their concerns to the party high command. The MLCs are also believed to have demanded that at least five Congress members from the Legislative Council be inducted into the State Cabinet if a reshuffle takes place.
