Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo took to social media to extend warm Eid Mubarak wishes as Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan.

In a striking photo shared with his massive global following, Ronaldo was seen wearing an elegant navy blue and gold paisley-embroidered sherwani-style jacket. The outfit featured a high mandarin collar, intricate gold detailing and ornate patterns, reflecting a regal, festive aesthetic. Such traditional attire is widely worn by Muslim men during Eid, particularly in South and West Asia.

The post, shared with his over 672 million followers on Instagram and 106 million on X, carried a simple yet heartfelt message:

“Eid Mubarak to all! I hope you have a very special day with your family and loved ones. Wishing you all peace and happiness."

His post garnered comments from his fans showering him with love and reciprocating the wishes of the festival.

Eid al-Fitr was marked on Friday in Saudi Arabia and several other countries following the sighting of the Shawwal moon, bringing an end to the holy month of Ramadan for more than two billion Muslims globally.

Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr, has increasingly embraced local traditions since moving to the Middle East, often acknowledging cultural and religious occasions in the region.

In fact, the Portuguese star had previously gone a step further during Ramadan last year. According to former Al-Nassr teammate Shaye Sharahili, Ronaldo tried fasting alongside Muslim players. Speaking on the Thmanyah Sports podcast, Sharahili said Ronaldo fasted for two days “to experience what Muslims feel," describing it as a personal effort to understand and connect with the culture.

The gesture, along with his latest Eid message, has further strengthened Ronaldo’s connect with fans across the Muslim world, many of whom praised both his outfit and his thoughtful wishes.
