Patna: The Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) has reported its highest-ever earnings in the financial year 2025-26.Danapur divisional railway manager (DRM) Vinod Kumar said the division recorded total earnings of Rs2,362 crore during the fiscal, marking a 4.39% increase over the previous year.Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, Kumar said passenger revenue remained the primary contributor, accounting for Rs1,978.91 crore of the total earnings. Freight loading generated Rs162.71 crore during the same period. The division also reported a notable achievement in ticket checking operations, earning a record Rs62.45 crore, he said.According to Danapur senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) Abhinav Siddarth, in addition to boosting revenue, the Danapur division has focused on improving passenger amenities across both major and minor stations. Significant investments have been made in upgrading infrastructure, including the installation of platform sheds, better lighting systems and access to safe drinking water, he said, adding these initiatives aim to enhance comfort and safety for passengers while maintaining service quality.
