The first glimpse of ‘Dragon’ has become one of the biggest talking points among fans. Released on May 19, just before Jr NTR's birthday on May 20, the teaser grabbed attention for its dark visuals, intense action and powerful introduction of the lead character.Many viewers felt the film would be a violent action drama after watching the glimpse. However, director Prashanth Neel has now revealed that the teaser only shows the background of the story and not its main emotional journey.According to him, the glimpse was designed to introduce the world of the film and set the stage for what is coming next.
Prashanth Neel’s talks abou the story of ‘Dragon’
Prashanth Neel said the real drama of ‘Dragon’ is very different from what people may have understood from the teaser.In an official statement, he said, “What we showed in the glimpse is just the setting. From what we have communicated in the teaser is very contrary. It’s like I told you, it’s just a setting. It’s setting the playground so to speak. But the real drama of the movie is that we are attempting and we probably will end up making one of the most patriotic movies ever seen.”
‘Dragon’ teaser
Speaking about the teaser of ‘Dragon’, it shows that the film is set in 1967 and tells about the dangerous world connected to opium plantations and the global drug trade. The story slowly builds towards the arrival of Luger, played by Jr NTR, who is introduced as the Assassin-in-Chief of the Afghan Trading Company. In the teaser, Jr NTR is seen delivering a powerful dialogue, he says, “God gave me a boon - the moment I pull the trigger, I forget everything.
” The teaser presents him as a fearless and deadly man operating in a violent environment.The film also stars Anil Kapoor as Narcotics Bureau chief Raghuveer Rathod and Biju Menon as Jaleel Rahman.
