National science day celebrated at Anna planetarium

Trichy: National Science Day was celebrated at the Anna science centre and planetarium on Tuesday with the participation of around 60 school students from across the district.Chief guest district chief educational officer G Krishnapriya distributed prizes to students who took part in various science-related competitions and activities.The programme highlighted the importance of promoting scientific temper and encouraging students to develop an interest in science and innovation.Project director R Akilan delivered the welcome address and spoke about the role of science centres in creating awareness among students and the public. Officials said the Science Day celebrations aimed to encourage curiosity and scientific thinking among school students through interactive activities and competitions.
