Elderly woman dies in e-rick crash in Bhopal

Times News NetworkBhopal: A 60-year-old woman who ran a vegetable business with her family died after a speeding unidentified car allegedly hit their loading autorickshaw on Hoshangabad Road in the early hours of Sunday.Police said the deceased, Ambika Narware, 60, wife of Jalwa Narware, was a resident of Bagmugalia. She sold vegetables at Bittan Market along with her husband and son Ganesh.The accident took place around 1.30 am when Ambika was returning home from the wholesale market with her husband and son in their loading autorickshaw carrying vegetables. As the vehicle descended from Savarkar Setu onto Hoshangabad Road near RRL trisection under Bag Sewania police station limits, a speeding car allegedly rammed it from behind and fled the spot.The impact caused the loading vehicle to overturn, throwing Ambika onto the road. She suffered severe injuries to her hands, legs and other parts of the body.Family members rushed her to AIIMS Bhopal, where she died during treatment around 6 am.Investigation officer SI Bharat Singh Meena said that police have registered a case against the unidentified car driver and launched a search for the vehicle. CCTV footage from the accident site and nearby areas is being examined to identify the offending vehicle and its driver.After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family.
