EV battery swapping centre inaugurated in Bescom Corporate Office

A battery swapping centre was inaugurated at the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) corporate office on Friday to enhance electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

Shivashankar, managing director of Bescom, said, “The launch of the centre is a significant milestone in delivering fast, reliable, and accessible EV services to users in Bengaluru. The facility has been set up in partnership with IndoFast Energy, which currently operates over 250 battery swapping centres.”

The discharged batteries in EVs can be swapped for fully charged ones within just two minutes at the centre.
