After completing the necessary legal and security procedures, Zeeshan Mir was handed over to Pakistan Army officials at the Kaman Aman Setu crossing on July 4.

Zeeshan Mir, a resident of Muzaffarabad district in PoK, is said to have fallen in love with Iram Majeed, a resident of Uri in Jammu and Kashmir, after the two connected on the social media platform.
Love knows no borders—or so it seemed for a young man from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), who allegedly crossed the Line of Control (LoC) after falling in love with a woman from Jammu and Kashmir through Snapchat.
Zeeshan Mir, a resident of Muzaffarabad district in PoK, is said to have fallen in love with Iram Majeed, a resident of Uri in Jammu and Kashmir, after the two connected on the social media platform. According to officials, the online romance eventually prompted Mir to cross the LoC illegally in a bid to meet her.
He allegedly crossed into Indian territory around a month before being apprehended on May 31 by personnel of the Indian Army’s 12 Grenadiers near the Silikote sector in Uri.
After completing the necessary legal and security procedures, Mir was handed over to Pakistan Army officials at the Kaman Aman Setu crossing on July 4.
Officials said Mir was treated with dignity, compassion and due care during his stay in India, in keeping with the Indian Army’s humanitarian principles and professional conduct.
The incident has drawn attention as yet another unusual cross-border love story in the region.
One of the most high-profile cases involved Pakistani national Seema Haider, who illegally entered India with her four children in 2023 to live with her partner, Sachin Meena, after the two met through the online game PUBG.
Seema was arrested after entering India but was later granted bail. She has since settled in Greater Noida with Sachin, and the couple now have two children together.
