New Delhi: Google has officially introduced its AI playlists feature for YouTube Music. With this latest AI feature, YouTube Music users can generate custom playlists based on their mood, genre, or musical preferences. This latest feature is now rolling out to the YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium subscribers on Android and iOS devices. Users can access the tool through the Library tab by tapping New, then selecting AI Playlist. This feature also accepts both text and voice prompts by enabling subscribers to describe what they want to hear and letting the app create a corresponding playlist.

The latest Gemini logo will appear next to the latest feature, but Google’s chatbot is not explicitly named in the announcement. YouTube Team has officially confirmed the rollout on the X platform, making it the latest addition to Google’s expanding AI integration across its product ecosystem. This latest feature joins other recent AI implementations by including conversational capabilities in the Google Translate and Gemini integration being developed for Google Maps.

The latest AI Playlist feature now uses Google’s Gemini models and YouTube’s catalogue to interpret concepts like specific moods and genres. This latest system appears to combine metadata, artist networks, and user preferences to generate playlists. YouTube has not yet disclosed the complete process, and the model continues to learn which prompts produce satisfying results. AI prompting allows users to quickly articulate mood or intent and access curated results directly. The latest feature reduces the effort of manually building playlists and allows users to create highly specific themes for refinement.

This feature will continue to extend across the regions. Stronger protections for the sensitive prompts and more transparent indications of how the listening history will affect the choice are two of the latest updates. YouTube Music’s AI prompting system now makes it easier for Premium subscribers to create playlists from their ideas.
