Harry Kane, who is England’s highest goal scorer in international football, created a new record on Wednesday (March 18) by becoming the first English footballer to score 50 goals in the UEFA Champions League. The 32-year-old footballer from London, who now represents German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, scored his 50th goal in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday during Bayern’s 4-1 win over Serie A club Atalanta at Allianz Arena in Munich.
Harry opened his goal account by converting from the spot in the 25th minute of the first half and scored his landmark 50th goal in the premier European football competition in the 54th minute of the match.
He needed 66 matches to reach the 50-goal mark in the UEFA Champions League and is now joint-10th in the list of players with the most goals in the competition’s history.

In the UEFA Champions League, Kane has scored 29 goals in 34 matches for Bayern since joining them in 2023, and before that, he found the back of the net 21 times in 32 matches for Premier League club Tottenham.
In the list of English footballers with the most goals in UEFA Champions League history, Kane is followed by Wayne Rooney and Raheem Sterling.
Rooney played 85 Champions League matches for the Red Devils from 2004 to 2015 and scored 30 times, whereas Sterling has 27 Champions League goals to his name in 88 matches for Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
