The Department of Tourism on Wednesday organised a heritage walk from the historic Khazana Building to Golconda Fort as part of the Tourism Week initiative aimed at promoting heritage conservation, cultural preservation and responsible tourism.
The walk was organised to reconnect citizens with the historical legacy of Hyderabad and create awareness on the importance of protecting heritage structures, monuments and culturally significant precincts for future generations.

The event commenced at the Khazana Building in the morning with an inaugural briefing for participants on the significance of the heritage corridor leading towards Golconda Fort. The route was planned to provide participants an opportunity to observe and appreciate the architectural, cultural and historical richness associated with the Golconda region.
During the walk, experts and resource persons briefed participants on the historical evolution of Golconda, the legacy of the Qutb Shahi period, the importance of traditional urban heritage and the collective responsibility involved in preserving monuments and heritage sites.
