Entrepreneurs at the India AI Summit praised PM Modi’s vision for trustworthy, human-centric AI and inclusive tech in healthcare and education.

Entrepreneurs and innovators who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the India AI Summit in New Delhi described the interaction as “deeply inspiring," saying his vision for artificial intelligence goes beyond technology and focuses on real impact at the grassroots level.

Speaking after an hour-and-a-half-long interaction, participants said the Prime Minister emphasised that India must not only lead in AI within the country and the Global South, but also ensure that “trustworthy AI" becomes the central pillar of its strategy.

Navrina Singh, CEO and Founder of Credi AI said, “PM Modi spoke in detail about democratising access to artificial intelligence and ensuring that the concept of “Manav-centric" development remains at the heart of technological advancement. 

“He highlighted the need to integrate people into AI-driven systems rather than treating AI merely as a tool," she added.

Entrepreneurs said they were struck by the Prime Minister’s understanding of grassroots challenges and his nuanced grasp of how technology can be adapted to local cultures and regional needs. Discussions reportedly covered the use of AI in healthcare, including the role of health-tech solutions in institutions like Arogya Mandirs, as well as reforms in the education sector.

Sneh Vaswani, Founder And CEO of Miko toldthat PM Modi stressed the importance of delivering education in students’ mother tongues, arguing that learning in native languages could strengthen comprehension and accessibility across the country.

Several startup founders noted that despite leading a vast and complex nation, the Prime Minister listened patiently, asked sharp and detailed questions, and offered feedback and suggestions. “We are a very small company, yet he took time to understand our work. That itself is a huge motivation," one entrepreneur said.

Attendees also praised the scale of the India AI Summit, saying it brought together global leaders, top researchers, major technology firms, startups, and students on a single platform. They described the event as a rare environment where innovators could directly interact with policymakers and world-class experts.

Participants expressed optimism that the summit could accelerate India’s AI adoption by several years, positioning the country as a global leader in responsible and inclusive AI development.

For many young entrepreneurs, the opportunity to present ideas directly to the Prime Minister and engage with global researchers was described as a milestone moment and a sign of India’s growing ambition to shape the future of artificial intelligence.
