Hyderabad Rain August 16 | Moderate to heavy rainfall alert forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in Hyderabad and its surrounding for Saturday (August 16, 2025).

According to an impact-based forecast issued on Saturday morning, the IMD said the city will see a generally cloudy sky. Moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers with at times intense spells, accompanied by gusty winds are likely through the day.

The IMD cautioned that the rain could lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas, traffic congestion across major roads, slippery conditions for motorists, and the risk of falling trees and electric poles. Drainage clogging was also listed among the possible impacts.
