IAF officer's wife alleges forced conversion, sexual assault and extortion

A twenty-four-year-old woman, married to an Indian Air Force officer, has alleged forced conversion, sexual assault and extortion by her former classmate in Nagpur. A viral video showing the woman pleading during a conversion ritual prompted a police investigation. The complainant alleged that a former classmate approached her under the pretext of a property deal, after which she was drugged, sexually assaulted, and filmed without consent. The accused allegedly used the footage to blackmail her, extort over Rs three lakh, and forced her to undergo conversion rituals at a secluded location. Nagpur police have arrested two individuals in connection with the case, while a third accused, who allegedly facilitated the conversion, remains absconding. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter. Authorities are currently verifying the viral video and examining other evidence to determine if a larger illicit conversion and extortion ring is operating in the region.
