Iran on Monday said it has drafted its diplomatic response to recent proposals conveyed by the United States through intermediaries, while accusing it of targeting its nuclear assets.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Tehran has finalised its set of demands based on its “interests" and “red lines", and will announce them at an appropriate time.

“Based on our own interests and considerations, we have codified our demands," Baghaei said, adding that Iran would communicate its position when necessary.

The remarks come amid reports of a US-backed proposal, described by Iranian officials as a “15-point plan", aimed at ending the ongoing conflict. Baghaei dismissed the proposal as “extremely ambitious, unusual, and illogical", signalling that Tehran is unlikely to accept the framework in its current form.

He also rejected suggestions that Iran’s engagement with mediators reflects weakness. “Presenting our views quickly and clearly should not be considered a sign of surrender," he said.

Sharp Attack Over Isfahan Operation

Iran accused the United States of attempting to target its nuclear programme under the guise of military action.

The Foreign Ministry said it “cannot be ruled out" that the recent operation in Isfahan was a deception aimed at stealing uranium, but claimed the attempt had failed.

Calling the operation a “disaster" and an “embarrassment" for Washington, Iranian officials said the US should “learn a lesson" from the episode.

Rejects Ceasefire, Signals Hard Line

Tehran also pushed back against the idea of a temporary ceasefire, saying it would only serve as a pause before renewed conflict.

“A temporary ceasefire means preparing to resume the crime," the Foreign Ministry said, adding that Iran is seeking a complete end to hostilities and guarantees that the conflict will not be repeated.

Officials further accused Washington of sidelining diplomacy, with the ministry saying recent US actions show it has “removed diplomacy from its agenda".
