LeBron James, at 41, remains undecided about retiring after his 23rd NBA season, as he continues to produce for the Lakers and focuses on the postseason amid speculation.

Will LeBron James finally walk away from basketball on his own terms?
The 41-year-old says he still hasn’t decided whether the ball will keep bouncing beyond his record-setting 23rd NBA season.
Speaking before his 22nd All-Star appearance, James kept it simple.
“Yeah, I mean, I want to live," he said. “When I know, you guys will know. I don’t know. I have no idea. I just want to live, that’s all."
It was classic LeBron: reflective, measured, and leaving the door wide open.
Still Producing, Still Questioned
Despite missing 18 games this season due to health concerns, including sciatica that sidelined him for the Los Angeles Lakers’ first 14 contests, James continues to defy logic.
Last week, he became the oldest player in NBA history to record a triple-double, doing so against the Dallas Mavericks. The production hasn’t dipped. The mileage, though, is undeniable.
An emotional pre-game tribute in Cleveland, where he spent 11 seasons across two stints, only intensified speculation.
“It could be [my last season]," James admitted. “I obviously haven’t made a decision on the future, but it very well could be."
Postseason Focus
For now, the focus remains on the Lakers (33-21), currently fifth in the Western Conference. James is in the final year of his $52.6 million contract and insists the narrative isn’t about him.
“No, it’s [not about me]," he said. “It’s gearing up towards the postseason… We’ve got past the marathon, and now the sprint is about to start."
The King is still producing. Still competing. Still reflecting.
Whether Father Time finally gets his answer? That’s a decision only LeBron can make.
