Kylian Mbappé has officially withdrawn his legal complaint against Paris Saint-Germain over alleged moral harassment, his lawyer confirmed on Monday.

“We are withdrawing our civil action," said Mbappé’s lawyer, Pierre-Olivier Sur, in a statement to AFP, just days before Real Madrid—Mbappé’s current club—face PSG in the Club World Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

Investigation Opened Over Alleged Mistreatment

The Paris prosecutor’s office had launched an investigation last month following a complaint from Mbappé, who claimed PSG mistreated him at the start of the 2023–24 season. The striker alleged that he was deliberately sidelined and forced to train with players the club intended to sell, after refusing to extend his contract.

The practice, criticized by the French players’ union as a form of professional isolation, led the union to file a separate complaint in 2023 on behalf of affected players.

Mbappé was excluded from PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia in 2023 and missed the first game of the season. However, he was later reinstated into the squad after talks with club officials.

The 26-year-old departed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 after seven seasons at PSG, during which he scored 256 goals in 308 appearances. Ironically, PSG clinched their first-ever UEFA Champions League title shortly after his exit.

Legal Dispute Over Unpaid Compensation

While Mbappé has dropped the harassment complaint, he remains locked in a legal battle with PSG over €55 million (approximately $64.4 million) in unpaid wages and bonuses he claims are still owed.
