The couple reportedly visited the town to complete KYC formalities for a bank account. During the visit, Abhay spent some time at his advocate father Karn Singh Grewal’s chamber in the tehsil complex and also interacted with the media.
Visitors lined up inside the chamber to click selfies with IIT Baba, while several locals used the opportunity to reconnect and revisit old memories with Abhay. Speaking to reporters, he said his wife Pritika is from Bengaluru and that both of them are working towards the same vision.
When asked about meeting his parents, Abhay said he would definitely meet them, but added that sometimes a larger family responsibility requires stepping away from the smaller family. Speaking about future plans, he said work is underway on building “Shri University”, where the focus will be on combining knowledge systems.
He said the university will work on both academic teaching and knowledge linked to spiritual practices and meditation. According to him, the vision is to understand and teach different forms of sadhana, with clarity of purpose being essential. He also stressed that distancing oneself from worldly distractions is important for spiritual growth. At present, he said, he is living in Himachal Pradesh.
