Man kills wife’s parents in Duttalur of A.P.’s Nellore district

In Duttalur village of SPSR Nellore district, a man killed his mother-in-law and father-in-law who tried to stop him from killing their daughter.

According to the sources, the double murder happened at AC Colony in Duttalur on Sunday (June 29, 2025) midnight. In an inebriated condition, Vengaiah indiscriminately attacked his wife Venkayamma with a knife. When her parents - Jayamma (60) and Kanjayya (65) - tried to stop the accused, he slashed them with knives leading to their instant death.

The locals called the ambulance, which shifted the woman immediately to Udayagiri Hospital. The doctors informed that her condition is presently out of danger. The bodies of the deceased couple were sent to the mortuary of the same hospital for post-mortem. Police reached the scene and launched a search operation for the accused, Vengaiah.
