Actor Manish Raisinghani believes Valentine's Day, while not essential, adds charm and excitement to relationships.
Actor Manish Raisinghani, known for his roles in shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Nima Denzongpa, Katha Ankahee, Ek Shringaar-Swabhiman and Teen Bahuraniyaan, says Valentine’s Day may not be essential—but it certainly adds charm and excitement to relationships. “Though they say you don’t need a particular day to express love, celebrate or make someone feel special, I do agree,” Manish shares. “But we can’t deny that these days bring more excitement and joy. It provides a dedicated, structured time to express love, strengthen emotional bonds, and foster connection.” He believes Valentine’s Week creates anticipation and encourages couples to be creative. “This week-long celebration allows for a buildup—exchanging gifts, flowers, being a little more romantic than usual.
Since it comes every year, we have to be more creative in expressing our love. The older the relationship gets, the more challenging it becomes to surprise your partner in a new way. So for me, Valentine’s week is more like innovating a new method to surprise week.
” Talking about the different days celebrated during the week, he adds, “It’s fun to exchange roses, chocolates, teddies, and also celebrate Promise Day, Hug Day, Kiss Day, and finally Valentine’s Day.
It gives a gradual and enjoyable buildup of romantic gestures.” On a personal note, Manish feels grateful for his wife, Sangeeta Chauhan. “I’m truly blessed to have Sangeeta in my life. We’ve already started surprising each other, and there’s more planned until Valentine’s Day,” he says with a smile. “I’m a sucker for romance—both in real life and reel life. So I can’t miss celebrating the week of romance.”
