US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (local time) insisted that Washington has achieved regime change in Iran, adding that current officials are much more rational than those previously under slain Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Addressing the media at the White House, Trump reiterated that Iran could not have a nuclear weapon. “They are very radicalised people. They have very sick leaderships. We have a new regime, and the new regime is much better than the past one."

“We’ve knocked out one regime, then we knocked out the second regime. Now we have a group of people that’s very, that are very different. They’re much more reasonable, I think, much more, much less radicalised. We’ve had regime change. We’re dealing with people that are much more rational," he added.
